Behind the Sun

This film is about a family feud in Brazil, and hence in Porteguese. The drama is raw and gritty and doesn't succomb to Hollywoods glamour. The young boy plays a great role and brings both the fathers love and anger into focus. Its a great homage to the book it was rendered from "Broken April". It brings Brazils past problems into light in a very real way. The cast is very strong and gets the best of a great script. It is a dark story and the cinematics reflects this essential point. This film reminds me, for some reason of War of the Worlds, although completely different in content, some of the emotions mirror each other. This film is a must see and an eye opener.
