THE MUMMY Screenwriter Lloyd Fonvielle Has Died

Author and screenwriter Lloyd Fonvielle passed away last month at the age of 64. The son of a preacher and grammar school teacher, Fonvielle was born in Wilmington, North Carolina on March 22, 1950. He died at his home in Las Vegas on February 19, 2015, while sitting at his desk writing. The way every writer would want to go out.
Fonvielle penned the screenplays for THE MUMMY, THE LORDS OF DISCIPLINE, THE BRIDE and others. He was also instrumental in writing for director Jeff Goldblum his short film LITTLE SURPRISES in 1996, which landed him an Oscar nomination. He also wrote TV movies including THE NATIONAL TREE. Fonvielle was also an author of noir novellas and Western short stories, and had a passion for photography. (Source)
