John Logan is currently one of the more gifted dramatist in the business. His writing possess richly drawn characters within the concepts of his creations. A noted playwright, he started out writing made-for-television movies as "Tornado!" (1996); the critically acclaimed "RKO-281" (1999) for which he won a WGA award. His first film credit is for "Bats" (1999). His writing is literate and bold, and often complex. It was his work on "Gladiator" that put the story over the top and made it the classic it will become. His current assignment is writing "The Aviator" for famed director Martin Scorsese.
