Chicago/LA Film Actors/Writers Filmmakers Conference

There is no shortage of classes and workshops designed to make you a better actor / screenwriter. And if you're really lucky, somewhere down the road you might meet some working actors, writers, and producers who will share some of their experience and contacts. And this is the process, as shaky as it sounds, that most aspiring writers and actors must follow to break into the business. Hit or miss.

Fast forward to the LA Film/Actors/Writers/Filmmakers Conference. You meet, work with, and discuss your career and upcoming projects with established players. This goes way beyond the typical search for networking opportunities. Instead participants see their careers guided by industry pros and insiders. This sponsored event is being hailed as one of the best networking and resource tools for both aspiring and practicing professionals.

Designed and coordinated by indie TV/Film producer Debbie Durkin, with more than thirty years experience in the industry, 16 years as a Hollywood agent and producer, and over ten years as one of Chicago's top agents. What past attendees are saying about this extraordinary opportunity:

Debbie Durkin puts on an amazing conference. No where else will you find speakers with so much valuable information and insight; and not only do they freely give out this information, they will work with you and help you move your career forward. The opportunities that are presented toyou when you attend one of these are invaluable; if you are serious about a career in the industry you cannot afford to miss these events. Most conferences will overload you with information and send you home at the end of the weekend and that’s it. When you come to one of Debbie’s seminars the relationship continues at the end of the weekend, and she will help you take your career in the direction it needs to go. N. Prenovost, Filmmaker/Mandatory Chaos Productions, Dana Point , CA. "Life-changing". L.L. , Model/Actress, Temecula, CA.

What worked most for me was that we were a small group of people with diverse backgrounds that Debbie magically seemed to know we would work well as a group.Debbie brought in extraordinary professionals from all aspects of the industry to lead the workshops. That along with the backdrop of the networking possibilities of the Film Festival have equipped me with the tools to bring my career to the next level! D. Loomer, Actress/ Resolute Pictures, Canada/CA.

Thanks, the conference was fantastic and it helped focus my endeavors, Thanks to your screenwriting coaches I have made major adjustments to my screenplay. Paul E, Writer/Filmmaker, Riverside, CA.

Debbie Durkin put together a very informative seminar. I had a tremendous experience with Charles Carroll. My time with him should prove to be invaluable. There were many informative speakers and plenty of information to be absorbed by all. Michael Levine was inspirational. Debbie is a fireball of energy. She keeps up a tremendous pace. Often times we joked that she should "switch to decaf" not knowing she usually drinks decaf. Russell H, Commodity Films, Sarasota, Florida.

" I felt that the conference had so much information regarding the business, that I couldn't take notes quick enough. I was particularly inspired and motivated by Michael Levine. His words of wisdom about packaging yourself and the three magic "o"s was in itself well worth going to the conference. Thank you Deb also for having Endres Hules and Charles Carroll. Indeed extremely knowledgeable men in the business." S. Solis, Actor, Los Angeles/Chicago.
