Brass Brad Screenwriting Mentorship Award

THE BRASS BRAD has launched its first Screenwriting Mentorship Award, which is sponsored by Write Bros., Inc. The purpose of this award is to provide a mentorship opportunity for screenwriters, along with supplying the necessary tools of trade, including professional screenwriting software, online trade subscriptions, script consultations, and bi-weekly phone conferences.
Writing well and selling yourself well will be the area of focus.
A mentoree will be selected for one year of mentoring by produced writer and script consultant, Kimberly Seilhamer, webauthor of the popular website THE BRASS BRAD (brassbrad.com). Two runner-ups will be selected as well.
Aside from writing and consulting, Kimberly has also served as a competition judge for American Accolades, ASA, and Writers Digest competitions. Additionally, she is also a jury member for the prestigious Hartley Merrill Prize, sponsored by RKO Pictures. As a former Marine, Kimberly possesses supurb attention to detail and can show you what it takes to forge your own path to success in this difficult business.
All applicants will receive a copy of the judge's scorecard(s) on their submission. The application period for this award opens June 1, 2005 and closes August 31, 2005 and is open to feature scripts only. Collaborative work is not eligible for this award.
