X-MEN 2 Scribe to Get His Stab at SPY-HUNTER
May 27th, 2004
"Spy-Hunter" was a popular video game. Afterall, it had secret agents, drug cartels and world domination, the stuff of a great action film. So far Mark Swift and Damian Shannon, Michael Brandt, and Derek Hass have all worked on the script to no avail. Now, according to Variety, scribe Zak Penn is about to sign on with Universal to write his own draft of SPY-HUNTER. John Woo is at the helm with Dwayne Johnson (THE ROCK) starring. The trade also reported that the storyline will follow a former F-15 pilot recruited to become a member of Spy Hunters, an elite government agency that must defeat a cartel seeking world domination. Zak's writing credits include BEHIND EMENY LINES, X-MEN 2, and others.
