Irving and Hallstrom To Reteam On THE FOURTH HAND
Miramax has purchased the rights to THE FOURTH HAND, the soon to
be published novel by John Irving. Lasse Hallstrom who directed the
big screen version of Irving's THE CIDER HOUSE RULES (1999) (for which
Irving also penned the screenplay) is on board to direct.
STORYLINE: Tells the story of a handsome TV reporter who loses a
hand to a lion. He meets a young childless widower who offers her late husband's
hand in exchange for help concieving a child.
