Rodat To Adapt Crime Novels
Robert Rodat (THE PATRIOT, 2000) has been hired by Columbia
Pictures to adapt two novels by popular crime writer Patricia
Cornwell. The novels CRUEL AND UNUSUAL and UNNATURAL EXPOSURE,
both featuring Cornwell heroine Kay Scarpetta, will be combined
into one film.
Not an easy task, one would imagine, but hey, that's what Rodat
gets the big bucks for.
STORYLINE: In CRUEL AND UNUSUAL Kay must solve the murder
of a 13 year old boy after she finds fingerprints of an executed
man at the crime scene. In UNNATURAL CAUSES, Kay must find solve
the mystery of five headless and limbless corpses found in Ireland.
