Kruger Strikes Another Rewrite Deal
Scribe Ehren Kruger (SCREAM 3, 2000) has struck his second rewrite
deal in as many weeks. I reported last week that Kruger had been
hired by Pandemonium to rewrite TIME IS MONEY. This time DreamWorks
has asked him to try his hand at THE RING, an adaptation of a
Japanese film which DreamWorks acquired the rights to in February. Gore
Verbinski is in talks to direct.
STORYLINE: A journalist investigates the urban legend of a cursed
videotape, the viewers of which die seven days later.
