HANNIBAL The First.
Before Thomas Harris's delightfully macabre creation there
was another Hannibal - a historical general who led a herd
of elephants across the Alps in order to wage war against
Rome.
This Hannibal is the subject of Ross Leckie's book
HANNIBAL, the rights to which were purchased today by Home
Run Film Development. Mark Chowdy is on board to produce,
his first order of business, I'm sure, to find a new name
for his project.
STORYLINE: Concerns the general from Carthage who waged
war on Rome with the help of a herd of elephants that he led
across the Alps.
