Koepp Gets SUPER Deal For Latest Spec
The Walt Disney Co. has paid David Koepp, author of JURASSIC PARK
(1993) and the hotly anticipated SPIDER-MAN (2002), an astounding
$2.5 million against $3 million for his latest spec, THE
SUPERCONDUCTING SUPERCOLLIDER OF SPARKLE CREEK, WISCONSIN. Koepp co-
wrote the script with John Kamps (THE BORROWERS, 1997) so he does
have to split the loot. The sale was a pre-emptive bid by Disney. Hell,
they deserve the money based on the title alone. Koepp will direct and
Barry Sonnenfeld will produce.
STORYLINE: Love story between a small town sherrif and the
physicist who has built a particle accelerator under his small
town.
WRITERS: David Koepp and John Kamps
DEAL: $2.5 million against $3million
