Scribe Cracks A Double At Disney
Jay Wolpert, screenwriter of the upcoming THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO (2001) has
has signed a two project deal with Disney. First up is the drama THE OLD
MAN AND THE BASEBALL CAP and the second is THE PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN, based
on the famous (yet ancient) Disneyland ride. THE PIRATES has been in
development at Disney for some time now.
STORYLINE:
THE OLD MAN AND THE BASEBALL CAP - Based on a true story about a young soldier shot
down over Yugoslavia is WW II and the female freedom fighter who saved his life.
PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN - based on the Disneyland ride.
