Artisan Fancies A Shagg ... Or Three
Disney has picked up an untitled spec script about The Shaggs, a
cult 1960's all-girl pop trio. Katherine Dieckmann (A GOOD BABY, 1998)
will direct from her own script. Artisan is supposedly fast-tracking
the project with a proposed early 2001 start date.
STORYLINE: True story of three not very talented sisters from
New Hampshire who are forced into the music business by
their domineering father. They produced one album,
"Philosophy of the World" which years later became a
cult sensation.
