New Line Crosses The Border With Action Spec
New Line Cinema has purchased DIABLO an action spec set in the
Mexican drug underworld. The script was written by Christian Gudegast
and Paul Scheuring who seem to be mining familiar territory as the
film of their screenplay MEXICALI (2001), another drugs and guns
epic set in Mexico, is due for release next year. Vin Diesel, hot
off PITCH BLACK (2000) is set to star in DIABLO.
STORYLINE: After their friend and fellow cop is killed, two US
Customs Officers go after a Mexican drug cartel.
WRITER'S: Christian Gudegast and Paul Scheuring
PRICE: $750,000 against $1 million
