Screenwriting duo to write THE NEIL BOGART STORY
Screenwriting duo Arlene Sarner and Jerry Leichtling have agreed
to write "The Neil Bogart Story" for Paramount Pictures.
Story line: it's about the founder of Casablanca Records
& FilmWorks. He is credited with popularizing "bubblegum music."
He discovered such acts as KISS, the Village People, Donna Summer.
In 1982 at the age of 39, he died of lymphoma.
Deal: mid-six-figures.
Writer credits: "Peggy Sue Got Married" (1986) -
"Blue Sky" (1994).
