Beacon Pictures has acquired Gregg Chabot and Kevin Peterka pitch,
"In a Dark Wood." A drama inspired by the book, which was also
optioned, written by Michael Cadnum.
Story line: A revisionist look at the legend of Robin Hood.
(Great, just what we need.) This one takes place a decade after the
events in Sherwood Forest, and examines the life of the Sheriff of
Nottingham who apparently wasn't an evil man after all, but rather
the victiom of circumstance.
Deal: mid-six figures, rumored.
