Miramax is excited about its acquisition of author Howard Blum's
novel "The Brigade," a WWII drama.
Story line: a true story about a group of Palestinian Jews
who were trained by the British and fought the Nazi's in WWII.
After the war they began importing Jewish refugees into the Middle
East in what would later become Israel.
Deal: mid-six figures, possible seven if produced.
