Hollywood Script Deals
Rumor has it that, New Line Cinema is near to a deal for
Seth Pearlman's spec script "Billy Two Sugars."
Story line: a lowly driver for a powerful Cuban drug
lord in Miami, who having suffering years of abuse at the
hands of his boss, sets out to obtain money and respect by
putting together a gang of dysfunctional losers to rip off
the honcho. (Can anyone say Robert DeNiro?)
Deal: $850,000 (rumored) high-six figures.
Writer credits: "The Messenger" (1999) - "Doubles,"
(2000)
