Hollywood Script Deals
Centropolis Entertainment has acquired Larry Cohen's thriller
spec "Cellular." It's reported that CE's heads, Roland Emmerich
and Dean Devlin, had to dip into their discretionary fund to pay
the writer.
Story line: revolves around a woman on a cell phone claiming to
have been kidnapped. She then gets some poor schmuck to come
after her.
Deal: $750,000
Writer credits: Many, but here are some of the highlights:
"The Ex" (1997) - "Misbegotten" (1997) - "Invasion of Privacy"
(1996).
