The Walt Disney Co. has purchased an untitled action pitch
by scribes Cyrus Voris and Ethan Reiff. The story is intended
as a vehicle for Hong Kong actor Jet Li ("Lethal Weapon IV").
Story line: a district attorney in New York must partner
with the powerful head of a Chinese crime organization
when his pregnant wife is kidnapped.
Deal: initial mid-six-figure sum to high-six if produced.
