Sony Pictures Family Entertainment bought a script pitch
by scribes Nicolas Falacci and Cheryl Heuton.
Story line: animals that served with American troops during
WWII. "Saving Private Ryan" meets "Homeward Bound." Yuck!
Seriously, a stray dog gets enlisted, forms a bound with a young
sergeant, and is determined to keep his master alive on missions
behind enemy lines. Okay, more like "Saving Private Ryan" meets
"Old Yeller." According to reports, the pitch was "Babe" in
a battlefield...
Deal: mid-six-figure sum.
