Artisan has forked over a low six figures for ``White Wedding,''
an irreverent comic spec script set in a venue in which the bride
isn't the only one wearing white.
The spec, by first-time scribe Michael Cordell, is a love story
centering around a white supremacist convention. It concerns a
campaign manager for a Republican senator who falls in love with
a young babe, but fears his career will be over because she might
be a member of a white supremacist organization.
Cordell is a veteran writer, only his usual venue is insurance
policies.

Indie foreign sales company Interlight Pictures has paid
an initial high six-figure sum for ``Rubicon,'' an original
script by Kevin Elders.
``Rubicon'' is a cautionary WWIII tale chronicling a seven-
hour nuclear crisis handled by the president of the United
States and his female secretary of defense.
