Writing Duo sell THE QUARTERBACK'S TALE

MGM has found an open receiver with THE QUARTERBACK'S TALE picking up the script for $500,000 against $800,000 from writing duo Jim Burnstein and Garrett Schiff.
The project is described as ALMOST FAMOUS set in the world of contemporary NFL football. The story follows a young college grad who gets a publicity job for an NFL team, where he is assigned to work with his hero, a Joe Montana-type quarterback. Through working with him on the player's farewell tour, he finds out the man is not what he expected him to be, and both are changed by the experience. They are looking to sign a major a-list star for the lead.
