THE ANGEL OF DEATH and DRAGON'S LAIR updates...
September 9th, 2002
Variety reports that Rod Lurie (THE CONTENDER) will rewrite and direct James Manos' script THE ANGEL OF DEATH about a killer therapist for Disney.
Don Bluth indicated on his official site in great detail the status of the DRAGON'S LAIR movie adaptation: "We have a 104 week production schedule. We hope to be in ready in 2004, probably for a Thanksgiving/Christmas release. No distribution contract has been agreed yet, so we cannot say for sure. Currently, it is a traditional animated project. Please remember that this is a "prequel", a story about Dirk, who he is and where he came from, what he wants etc. Singe is not in this story, but Daphne is. The dragon in this story is Vraxxis an evil 600 year-old dragon that wants to be human. The style will be very similar to the look of the original game but with more detail, like an animated feature film for the theatre. We are very excited about the script and preproduction designs".
