In today's Variety, it was reported that Mel Gibson's Paramount-based Icon Prods. has paid a low-six figures for the thriller spec script THE DEVIL'S KISS.

The marksmen was an Internet screenwriter, Mark L. Smith, living in North Carolina. The script was discovered online at ScriptShark.com, a service that reads scripts, writes coverage, and grades the material for their subscribers, who are industry professionals.
