Script Report: FAMILY REUNION

Warner Bros. has made a preemptive buy of FAMILY REUNION, a pitch that Darryl Quarles will script as a potential vehicle for TRAINING DAY helmer Antoine Fuqua and thesp Lela Rochon ( news). That trio will produce and Fuqua is eyeing it as a way to direct his wife, Rochon, in the starring role.
"Antoine was coming off TRAINING DAY and told me he wanted to do a film that dealt with the relationships of a black family," Quarles, whose credits include BIG MOMMA'S HOUSE and BLACK KNIGHT, told Variety.
