Script Report: UNTITLED HIP-HOP MUSICAL

BROWN SUGAR and LIKE MIKE screenwriter Michael Elliot has returned to Fox to work on an untitled hip-hop musical that George Tillman and Robert Teitel's State Street Pictures will produce. Set in Miami, the musical is described as a classic love story that revolves around an ambitious aspiring singer who risks losing fame and fortune when he falls in love. Teitel said the project "will break new ground through the execution of the musical numbers," while Elliot added that the songs will be in the style of hip-hop, soul and R&B.
