Script Report: PREY

According to The Hollywood Reporter, 20th Century Fox has acquired the motion picture rights to Michael Crichton's upcoming novel "Prey." Fox made a pre-emptive. The novel will be published by HarperCollins in November. The story is unknown, but it is known that it brings together specific themes from two previous blockbuster Crichton works: "The Andromeda Strain" and "Jurassic Park." Although specifics about the plot remain secret, it's also reported that the genre is best described as "techno-thriller or social sci-fi."
