Script Report: THE REAPING

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Joel Silver and Robert Zemeckis' Dark Castle Entertainment has optioned scribe Brian Rousso's horror spec THE REAPING. Described as being in the vein of the classic horror film THE OMEN, the story centers on a myth debunker who tries to prove that a small boy is not the supernatural force behind the devastation of a small, religious Texas town. The deal marks the second Rousso-penned project to go to Dark Castle. The company previously picked up his psychological suspense script SEED.
