April 12th, 2002
Kevin Taft and Sam Shriver strike gold, and both writers have New Line Cinema to thank.
Sam Shriver's HEART OF SUMMER is a drama set in New York and centers on a talented teenage girl who spends a summer at a music school. New Line Cinema is backing the project which is based on a story idea from Mitch Rotter.
Kevin Taft's horror spec script ALONE, deals with an agoraphobic high school girl who discovers that her house is haunted and must overcome her fears. He sold the script for six figures again seven in a preemptive deal by New Line Cinema. Phantom Four Films' Pascale Faubert will produce along with David S. Goyer.
