Miramax Pushes Back Release of GANGS OF NEW YORK Again!

Miramax Films has yet again delayed the release of the Leonardo DiCaprio starrer GANGS OF NEW YORK until December. According to reports, a rising budget and tension among the film's makers has caused the delays. Further, it is rumored that Miramax co-chairman Harvey Weinstein and the film's director, Martin Scorsese, are at odds over the movie about gang violence in pre-Civil War New York. The film also stars Cameron Diaz and Daniel Day Lewis.

GANGS OF NEW YORK was first scheduled to hit movie theaters in December last year, in time for the Oscars. Now there is concern that it might not make it out this year in time.
