BAD BOYS 2 confirmed

Its finally a lock: Will Smith, Martin Lawrence and Mike Bay will be back to make BAD BOYS 2. Sony made the announcement at ShoWest Thursday.
There have been about two dozen writers working on the script over the years -- including Dan Gordon, Ron Bass, Brian Helgeland -- but its apparently the draft by Marianne and Cormac Wibberley that got the job done.
(This is just a guess, but I would think that Sony must have paid Mike Bay a bundle to revisit his first film, after going broke trying to gain respect with the five-hundred-million-dollar grossing PEARL HARBOR.)
