Reese Witherspoon finally gets herself into the A-list -- making money, taking control -- and then does something that reveals why it took a while:
She will star in the late-night-cable-like movie ORIGINAL GANGSTA BITCHES. The Hollywood Reporter describes the plot as: a cross between THELMA & LOUISE and RUSH HOUR...a female heist picture about a mild-mannered white woman who teams with a street-smart black woman who teaches her how to use her God-given talents to get what she wants from men and the world.
The film originated as a pitch by Lisa Schrager. She subsequently wrote the script.
Any plot that includes the terms mild-mannered white (person) and street-smart black (person) can count me out.
