BRAD PITT WANTS MY GIRLFRIEND

Les Firestein has just signed to write and direct BRAD PITT WANTS MY GIRLFRIEND, the story of a normal Joe who has to compete with the SPY GAME star when his girlfriend bumps into him on a vacation in Canada.
The project, like BEING JOHN MALKOVICH, was created without the knowledge of Pitt.
(Just a note: I remember reading of another script like this: where an everyday gal somehow hooked up with Keanu Reeves and, on the run for some reason, they went through adventures fitting his action movies.)
It must also have been conceived a while ago, because the project has a fatal flaw: Pitt is happily married. He may be the most happily married man on the planet, if you believe what you read.
Firestein has already acknowledged this, and said any big name -- in sports or movies -- can take the lead role.
But for now the role is Pitts, and they plan to make it as complimentary as possible.
