Bruckheimer buys SIGNATURE
February 4th, 2002
Jerry Bruckheimer, whose film BLACK HAWK DOWN has been number one at the B.O. for three straight weeks, has picked up the pitch SIGNATURE from the husband and wife writing team Cormac and Marianne Wibberly. The duo just recently wrote Jerry's BAD BOYS 2 (let's see if that actually gets made -- about a dozen screenwriters have written scripts over the years).
Marianne told The Hollywood Reporter that their thriller script SIGNATURE centers on the way violent criminals are rehabilitated in the future.
It sounds like they're revisiting their own SIXTH DAY (which was rather brain-dead) and DEMOLITION MAN.
