Ed Norton and Spike Lee come together for HOUR
January 30th, 2002
Proving that no matter how bad your movies get, no matter how much they lose money, theres always a job for a director, we find...
Edward Norton (brave soul he) is hooking up with Spike Lee to make THE 25TH HOUR, an adaptation of David Benioff's novel. Benioff, youll remember, made a splash in the spec market not that long ago with STAY. He also wrote the script for HOUR.
Heres the story:
HOUR depicts the last day of freedom for a young man before he begins serving a seven-year jail term for drug dealing. Prowling through the city until dawn with his two close male friends and his girlfriend, he is forced to re-examine his life and how he got himself into his predicament, which leads to a shocking, disturbing finale.
Doesnt sound too bad; now if Lee can stay out of his own way maybe hell make a good movie.
