No, Jennifer is not remaking Catherine Breillats ROMANCE. But that would be something, wouldnt it? I think it would gross five hundred million dollars domestically, and play for the rest of our lives in small theaters on Times Square.
Actually, Hewitts ROMANCE, which she will co-produce, is about a frustrated artist who has sworn off romance. When rumors link her with a millionaire playboy, she plays along and finds love in the process. (Sounds brilliant, doesnt it?)
In more Love news, shell also star in the Showtime feature SECRETS. This flick, based on Charlotte Jerace's unpublished manuscript, is about a young woman (Hewitt) who learns that her missing husband, shot down during the Vietnam War, has a sickly child by a Laotian woman. She takes the woman and child into her home until surgery can be performed to save the child's life.
Is it any surprise that the film that doesnt sound brain-dead and ready for teenage-girl consumption has to be made for cable?
