Michael Ovitz' Artists Production Group and French joint-venture partner StudioCanal have preemptively acquired the action-thriller pitch VIGILANTE from scribe Chris Hauty, with Edward Burns attached to star.
The story centers on a liberal newspaper columnist who goes on a manhunt for the criminal gang responsible for his wife's murder, only to find himself the target of a rogue cop.
