MAX, a story about a Munich art gallery owner who takes a young Austrian painter named Adolf Hitler under his wing. This fictional story about how a friendship between a Jewish art dealer and Adolph Hitler forced him to abandon art and lead the Third Reich. The future fuehrer will be played by English actor Noah Taylor (ALMOST FAMOUS).
The $11 million film starts shooting Nov. 5 in Hungary. It will mark the directing debut of veteran screenwriter Menno Meyjes (THE COLOR PURPLE). Lions Gate Releasing will distribute in the U.S.
