According to Variety, Mike Medavoy's Phoenix Pictures is teaming with 20th Century Fox and producer Richard D. Zanuck (PLANET OF THE APES) to produce the life story of Gen. Chuck Yeager. The script is written by Ray Wright and is based on the 1985 memoir ``Yeager: An Autobiography'' by Yeager and Leo Janos
Thre story will follow the famous test pilot's exploits from his roots in West Virginia through his WWII dogfights and culminating in the first successful flight to break the sound barrier.
