Script Report: ALEXANDER THE GREAT

Dino De Laurentiis told popcorn.com that Ridley Scott will direct a big-budget version of 'Alexander The Great'. The U-571 producer also revealed actor Anthony Hopkins will play a key role in the project, although will not star as Alexander himself.
The ALEXANDER script is still being written by Oscar-winning scribe Ted Tally (THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS). Tally is using a trilogy of historic novels by Valerio Massimo Manfredi as his source material.
