PERDITION is shockingly unoriginal and bland. Its nothing more than a shoot-em-up with the added weight of the killings being to protect a family member. Its like a low-level Clint Eastwood movie set in the 1930s, starring familiar gangster faces. Mendes brought true feeling to personal scenes in BEAUTY. Hanks has eschewed cheap garbage his whole career. Why are they making a cheesy action film?
