Ted Tally To Adapt Alexander the Great Project for De Laurentiis

Oscar-winning screenwriter Ted Tally (RED DRAGON) will begin adapting Dino De Laurentiis's Alexander the Great project very soon, which according to The Hollywood Reporter, Universal Pictures is in negotiations to acquire. On top of that, Ridley Scott (GLADIATOR) looks to be in the lead to direct and is expected to read Tally's outline at the end of next month before committing.
In May, De Laurentiis optioned the feature film rights to the trilogy of novels by Italian author and academic Valerio Manfredi. The project reunites De Laurentiis and Tally, who recently worked together on Universal's RED DRAGON.
