Script Report: NAPSTER
June 7th, 2001
Scott Fields, a Los Angeles-based screenwriter, has been traveling across the country conducting interviews for a NAPSTER script being development by Starz Encore. Fields will apparently get a first crack on the script.
It is being reported that Fields has met with people who are associated with the company and friends of Shawn Fanning, the Northeastern University dropout who at 18 wrote the source code for the music file-sharing program for his friends to swap songs online.
Storyline: a true rags to riches story.
