Script Report: JOE DIMAGGIO AMERICAN HERO

The writing team of Christopher Wilkinson and Stephen J. Rivele (NIXON, ALI) are developing a script based on baseball legend and American hero Joe DiMaggio. They are adapting the non-fiction story from "Joe DiMaggio: A Hero's Life" by Pulitzer Prize-winner Richard Ben Cramer.
Universal Pictures-based Larry Gordon, who optioned the book long before its publication by Simon & Schuster in October 2000, is producing the untitled pic with partner Lloyd Levin, and Susan G. Pollock exec producing.
