Script Report: TIME AND AGAIN

Our choice for "Screenwriter of 2000," Kenneth Lonergan (YOU CAN COUNT ON ME), has been hired by Universal Pictures to pen an adaptation of Jack Finney's time-travel novel "Time and Again.'' Robert Redford has been developing the project since at least 1994. He remains attached to direct and produce. Published in 1970, "Time and Again" follows a man who travels back to Gotham in 1882 as part of a mysterious government experiment, only to fall in love while he is there. Lonergan was Oscar-nominated for his original screenplay YOU CAN COUNT ON ME.
