Writers Guild Email to Members

The WGA sent the following email to all members yesterday afternoon:
"Negotiations between the Writers Guild of America, East and west and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers resumed at 12:00 N today. We will keep you updated as the day progresses.
There are many "sources" speculating in the media about the status of the current negotiations, including a story in the Los Angeles Times this morning. Those facts are incorrect. To date, none of these so-called "sources close to the talks" have been correct. We are maintaining the blackout because it is in the best interest of achieving an agreement that will be a fair deal for writers. Please check the website at WGA Web site through the day today. That will be your most reliable source for the latest news. If we have an announcement we will stream the announcement live on the website."
