Script Report: MACABRE

Victoria Strouse (MARY JANE'S LAST DANCE) has been hired to write the script for Dark Castle Entertainment's remake of William Castle's MACABRE.
According to Variety, Strouse will attempt to modernize the original's story of a doctor whose finds his daughter is missing only to learn that her kidnapper is suggesting he has buried her alive with only hours left to live.
Robert Zemeckis is reportedly considering helming the project, which is expected to have a $25 Million dollar budget or more.
