Scribe Ed Solomon Pulls Off Blockbuster Pitch

According to Variety, scribe Ed Solomon (MEN IN BLACK) has pulled off one of the biggest pitch sales of the year. Reportedly, Columbia Pictures has paid a low seven-figures up front for the comedy pitch, CODE NAME: OBLIVION. Former Universal Pictures chairman Casey Silver is in negotiations to produce.

The story is described as a buddy comedy in which the most unlikely person imaginable becomes an unstoppable secret agent. Solomon apparently drew several studios to the table with a detailed outline before pitching the story. The project is being setup as a possible series of films.
