Script Report: THE LAST VAMPIRE

According to Variety, Columbia Pictures has optioned the rights to a sequel of Streiber's "The Hunger" called "The Last Vampire." Which isn't due out in book stores until 2001. According to reports the book tells the story of a beautiful female vampire on the run from a CIA agent.
No word yet on who will pen the adaptation or what other talent is attached if any.
